• Was an active part of the team that won the One Day International Cricket World Cup. • Also became the man of the match in the 2007 final. • Performed extraordinary as a part of the team that led to record wins.
2007 World Cup
Man of the Match (Feb 2007 to Feb 2011) 4 Years
• Completed a wonderful series and won the world cup. • Awarded man of the match for the final combat with Sri Lanka. • Scored 149 runs off 104 balls.
Test Performances
Aussie Wicket Keeper (Apr 1999 to Jan 2007) 7 Years & 9 Months
• Played several excellent innings. • In a test match against New Zealand, took 10 catches and was the first Aussie player to do so.
2001 Ashes
Australia Won 4-1 (Jan 2001 to Mar 2005) 4 Years & 2 Months
• Played as wicket keeper with 26 wickets and a good score of 340 runs at average of 68.0. • A magnificent show of team work and active wicket keeping.

Wrote the autobiography True Colors, which led to many controversies. Also raised many concerns about players like Sachin Tendulkar.

Early Cricket Highlights


School Team Captain
Led the Kadina High School cricket team at the age of 13. Was a passionate cricket follower with extraordinary leadership qualities.
First Class Cricket Beginning
Played Titan Cup in India in 1996. After few months, scored a handsome 77 runs against South Africa in Durban.
Test Debut
Started test cricket in 1999. Scored 81 runs off 88 balls against the strength of Pakistan team.
